Germany also created world record yesterday in the semi-finals by scoring 5 goals in the first 30 minutes. The other scorers included Khedira, Kroos scored 2 goals and Scurrle scored 2 goals. Oscar scored the only goal for Brazil in the dying hours of the second half.

 

It was probably the greatest victory of Germany over Brazil in the last 30 years. In fact none of the teams had faced such a shameful defeat like Brazil.

 

Germany has the record of going to the finals the maximum number of times. But they have lifted the World Cup only thrice. This time they have a great opportunity of lifting the cup.
