175 v/s Australia, 2009

He smashed 175 off 141 balls, with 19 fours and four sixes. Unfortunately, he was dismissed when India was 19 runs away from the target. The following Indian batsmen didn't show the will to win and the team was bowled out for 347, losing by 3 runs.

163* v/s New Zealand, 2009

In the third ODI vs New Zealand in Christchurch, Sachin smashed the Kiwi bowlers all over the ground to score 163 from 133 balls. His innings consisted of 16 fours and five sixes. Sachin had to retire owing to injury either he could have scored a double hundred easily! India scored 392/4 and went on to win the game by 58 runs.

143 v/s Australia, 1998

The innings that raised a genius to the status of a demigod. This innings in the semi final of Sharjah Cup 1998. Australia set a target of 285 for India to win and a sandstorm saw the revising of the score. India needed to score 236 from 46 overs to qualify for the final. Sachin scored 143 from 131 balls, the second highest scorer being Nayan Mongia with 35! Although India lost the match, they entered the final. Sachin followed this knock with another ton on his birthday in the final of the cup, winning the trophy for India.

It was the innings that shut the critics' mouths who always wailed that Sachin didn't play well while chasing a big total or he does get out without finishing off the match. This time, in the first match of a tri-final, he scored a century and stayed at the crease till the last moment, to see the victory of his country. He had been a little unsteady till the match, but there was no weakness in him to see when he smashed the Aussie bowlers all over the ground. He scored 91 in the next match, contributing in India's victory and India's first tournament win in Australia.

200* v/s South Africa, 2010

The first ever double century in men's ODI Cricket originated from the god's own bat. In 2010, at the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Gwalior, Sachin scored an unbeaten 200 from 147 balls against the best bowling lineup of those days, which included Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel. Sachin's first hundred came up from 90 balls while the next came off just 57 balls. India won the match by 153 runs.
